While the children are arriving from the different school routes, they are treated to a yummy snack. They are allowed time to work on homework in a semi-quiet environment and may ask for help from our qualified Lead Teachers. After all the children have arrived and finished snack, it’s time for the daily planned activity.

Improv Centers

The children participate in fun, structured exercises and games designed to develop improvisational skills in a dramatic, sometimes silly, but always fun atmosphere. This is also a day for practicing the upcoming planned production.

Kidz Club

An important part of spiritual growth is fun, fellowship, and faith. During Kidz Club, the children are exposed to the teachings of Jesus through music, a Bible lesson, crafts, and fellowship during a delicious dinner provided by Kidz Explosion volunteers.

Structured Games

We at Kidz Explosion believe that board games and group play create healthy interpersonal relationships and play habits and encourage the children to pay together. Centers are set up with age-appropriate board games and a variety of toys. Sometimes we even have tournaments, and the children love to try to beat Ms. Princess, who is the Connect 4 Champion!

Fun Friday

Fun Friday is a day for no homework. We try to make it the most fun day of the week, so there’s a little more freedom of Fun Friday. We don’t do chaos, but we Do do FUN!

Arts & Crafts

We often structure our arts and crafts around a theme for the month or a season. Sometimes our arts and crafts are food-based, such as creepy, Halloween teeth made out of apple slices, banana chips, and caramel, or even dirt sundaes from oreo cookies, gummy worms, and ice cream. Sometimes our crafts are a group craft made together to hang in the center for a season. And sometimes our arts and crafts are service based, such as when we make cards and then go on field trips to visit a senior living center and take them the cards. We are committed to making our children aware of their community and that they as children can make a difference.
